I've made a couple of tweaks to the forums, and I'm curious to know if you think it's better or more annoying this way.

1) After replying to a topic, you'll be taken to the LAST page of the topic rather than the first.

2) On the Forums and Recent Posts pages, clicking on the topic title in the "Last Topic" column will also take you to the LAST page of the topic.

One other tiny change too - I put a rotating carousel of upcoming events on the home page.  You can click the event picture or title to go directly to the event details page.

Thanks in advance for your feedback!

Ok..it is working now, I like it.

Before, when you clicked a topic title on the Recent Posts page, it would take you to the first page of the topic.  But I'm guessing since you were on the Recent Posts page, you're probably more interested in the most recent post rather than the first one in the thread :)

Jason, if you could also manage that one does not fall back on the first page of a topic after having edited a post on the third page, I'd be very thankful!

The nice thing about being retired, too much time on my hands. Actually I just re-carpeted the entire house and need to move back in, then put the laboratory back together. Theremin visitors are in my future.

You asked for a challenge, here it is:

I took my enigma theremin name from a post about nine months ago. The individual called himself OregonJim. I can find the post using keyword "enigma" but not by using his nic name. How can we find out of the over 4000 registered users an individual by nic.

Once you find them their profile points to all their posts.

"I know this is easy".......just kidding, that is a quote from most newbie theremin builders.

This is low priority so don't break it, cause it aint broken.

Hmm... Let me think about some ways to make this really easy.  As a software problem, it won't be difficult.  My weak spot is in usability though :)

In the meantime, you can always visit your own Profile page and then just add the name of the user you're looking for in the URL, like:

Don't spend much time on this, I was just challenging you cause you asked.

When I open a post with RS Theremin Said: or Hello RS Theremin the person is easily indexed and found in the search engine.

How about if Front Page topics would show up on the Recent Post list. A lot of people never visit the front page.

Imagine over 4000 registered users and it seems only about 30 are active. You should send out a mass mailing to the 4000 to find where their theremin journey led. Kind of a TW 10 year reunion.

Keep up the nice job, one man invented the theremin while there were two that saved it, you and Bob.
