hey there, i'm also new to the forum (to forums) and to the theremin.

i've known about the theremin a short while, and became pretty obsessed with the idea of playing about 3 months ago. One of my local music stores had a Moog Theremini on display that i tinkered around with a bit, but eventually ended up ordering the B3 Deluxe. A close friend of mine ended up buying the there mini so luckily i sort of have one at my disposal. Having some trouble getting started, but will start another thread for those questions so that others may have an easier time with search results later (scrolling through posts dating back a couple years gets hard to follow, especially with a slow internet connection :/ )

wouldn't say i'm a complete stranger to music, when i was much younger i played a couple instruments, little bit of violin, some piano, the flute for about 3 years...after one year i was second chair in the school band...i picked it up quickly and really excelled but ended up resenting the instrument... stayed away from all classical music training ever since. Point is i think learning some of the theory again would come fairly easily once im really able to apply myself.

Anyway just a little intro before i go on to complain about the whacky sounds coming out of my theremin :)

Thomas.

This response is a bit dated since it's 2015, but I got my Etherwave last September so that probably counts! I'm only recently getting to play the theremin, teaching myself through Youtube and trying to unlearn bad habits. Thanks, all!
