LV3 theremin. Good choice for a beginner?

First of all I must say I was born in Spain and I arrived in London a year and a half ago, so don´t worry, I understand all your comments about England :P

I want to thank you for your answers, they have helped me a lot to think about my next theremin :)

My budget is not big, and after reading Peter´s comments I have decided to save money for, at least, a second hand Etherwave.

I know I wont give up theremin even it is disappointing, hard and a difficult instrument. I have been playing guitar for 25 years -I was a guitar and music teacher in Spain. I play violin as a hobbyist and theremin is THE INSTRUMENT to me, I want to learn to play it properly so I know I wont abandon its practice easily :)

My goal is to play classic tunes, I mean classical music with theremin, so linearity and the 'pinched' upper register in the LV3 are important things, I think.

As I said, thank you all for your help, I hope I can buy an EW next September :)

P.S. Congratulations for your EP, Gordon. I really liked it.

P.S.2 Peter, I almost bought a second hand Theremini, but I really love analog sound and I´m sick of VA (Virtual Analog), Digital sounds and all these 'wannabes' (Recently I uninstalled Kontakt and Reason from my computer and I bought an analog synthesizer -An Arturia Microbrute SE... WOW!)

That THEREMINI would have been a big mistake for someone like you. You have a knowledge of music and a background it TWO instruments, and you would most certainly have found the THEREMINI disappointing. Your decision to save your $$$ for an Etherwave is very wise. 

You are fortunate that you play an instrument (the guitar) that can be used for theremin accompaniment. There is a huge and largely unexplored repertoire of Spanish songs and zarazuelas that can be adapted easily for theremin and they are GORGEOUS! The guitar is the perfect instrument to accompany them.

That is exactly the problem I had with the LV3.  As you can tell by my poorly edited videos I am no expert but for me it was unplayable and they graciously refunded my money.  All I lost was the shipping cost.
