Anyone heard from FredM lately?  I don't want to drag him back to the rocky coast of TW, but I miss his input here and worry about his health and such.

The last time I exchanged a message with him was last year in August, after which it seems he just stopped using TW.  Fred's profile page says he was last seen on Sept 27, 2015.   I attempted to contact him by email earlier in the year in January, but there was no response.

I hope he is doing okay... :/

Randy, you might try emailing Gordon Charlton for news of Cuzzin Freddie.

Thanks all.  Fred somehow heard through the grapevine that I was asking about him and he replied to me via email.

Amethyste, the latest email FredM sent me was in December 2015.  In it he instructed me to tell everyone he is OK and may be back to TW someday.

Now - where has Ametheste been? There must be some new music in store for us soon I hope. Few get that mellifluous tone that she manages to coax out of the box into the aether.

With great sadness, I must report that Fred has passed away. He had apparently been in poor health for some time. His daughter reached out today to give us the news.

Fred was the most prolific poster in our forums, and many of you had long conversations with him debating the merits of various technical theremin designs. He was sometimes controversial, but he always stuck to his guns, and we all learned from him. People like Fred bring color and character to our world. We will miss him and remember him fondly.

Please take a moment today to reflect on Fred and his contributions to our community.

Fred, I will miss our conversations. After Nelson Mandela passed til now I know it was a difficult journey, you are at rest now. This past week I came out of retirement and mentioned your name several times, I did learn from you. Our heated threads were because we are all so high strung or we could not be as creative as we are. I wish your family the very best. -oldtemecula
