Claravox software editor tips, tricks, and successes

Does the Claravox accept a pitch preview pedal? And can anyone suggest a good model to look at? My Claravox is due to arrive next week. Thanks all!

The Claravox features a tuner output just for pitch preview.  I use a Korg Pitchblack Custom.  It works great.  I hope your Claravox comes in perfect.  Good luck.  I think you will like it a lot.

 Thank you. I see the Korg unit on Amazon here in Canada, so that will work nicely for me. I have had a Theremini for the past 4 months and am really looking forward to this upgrade!

I was thinking of doing the same but so far 3 things have stoped me

1)  It might be better to train your ear to stay in tune (but harder)
2)  I wanted one that could sit on top of the CVox rather than a pedal and haven't found one yet
3) In modern mode a little bit of pitch correction might be enough so you don't need a tuner

Your ears are best in long run.  Can’t look at the tuner all day but they are nice to verify what your ears hear.  
They also help in joining in the middle of a song without grasping around for your first note...

Yes, I’m finding that on the Theremini, I do not use the pitch quantization and mostly play with my eyes closed, but I do need the pitch preview to find the first note in a song …

Quantization is the Devils tuning fork.  Makes it impossible to learn to listen to your theremin and connect to it properly.

Yes, our connections to theremins, throughout whole learning process and beyond, benefit greatly if that tuning be more in a natural (relaxed and famaliar) manner, IMO. But I'd imagine not all would be born with the good ear. Both our experiences, YM and I, had been like a natural affinity for, meaning that we were both able to find our pitch without much trouble. But hey, simply put, skill is built. (We were already musicians.) Hats off to anyone taking on ANYthing musical for first time! Oh, and something notable when just starting out, particularly with playing theremin, my experience has been it's easy to forget about allowing yourself to take regular breaths!!!

installed already tho its still a bit buggy. Mine closes down suddenly when connected to the CVox and it happens on both a desktop PC and a tablet
