Solid walnut cabinet, grain matching solid walnut legs (removable), large Pitch Coil for improved linearity, gold plated antenna, includes the optional Pitch Preview internally installed by Wavefront.

Purchased new by me in 2005.

Only 39 Wavefront Classics have been built.

Owners of RCA AR1264 (includes me) and Moog Ethervox theremins have commented on the great linearity of the Wavefront Classic, and the superb tone choices.

Asking $1900 plus shipping. Great condition, works as new. Antennas remove easily and fit into clips inside the main unit. Legs remove for easy transportation.

The design engineer, Gene Segal, has provided the ultimate in customer support throughout my ownership of this refined instrument.

This Classics theremin is rarely available for purchase, so don't miss this opportunity.

Do you have some sound samples?

OK, to tell the truth: I can't afford this instrument in this moment, although I would like to own it, but I'm very interested in its sound and timbre in order to increase my knowledge.

For those interested in purchasing a Wavefront Classic, there are very few photo-references of them on the web, let alone video or audio samples. I found the following Youtube video, (the Wavefront appears almost exactly half way through):
uk.youtube.com (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=G1otrlPuaMY&feature=PlayList&p=1BA0E7F2DD0287C7&index=0)
And this audio sample:
www.thereminvox.com (http://www.thereminvox.com/filemanager/fileview/76)
In my opinion, neither do the instrument full justice - that's not a comment on the performances, (I certainly could do no better myself); it's just that audio-wise, they don't fully showcase the Wavefront Classic's excellent timbre.

I took some pictures of my Wavefront Classic theremin and put them on flickr.

If you view an individual image you can use 'all sizes' to get largest picture size/resolution to see in extreme detail.

There are 3 small cosmetic imperfections that I discovered while photographing every square inch of the cabinet. I will fully disclose these, but I am curious if you will notice them.

I will work on sound samples next.

I've had a Wavefront classic for exactly 5 years this month. It is by far my favorite theremin ( two regular Etherwaves and a Pro)

I've just started two "regular" jobs, so between that and gigging 4 times a week, time is very limited.

In the next few weeks I'll try to post some video of the Classic playing some theremin classics. ( For contrast and compare exercises only)

Here are some very rough sound samples recorded directly (line level) from my Wavefront Classic to a digital recorder with no processing:
