The 2C51 never be a Russian, that's a US product.
Russion similar tube is 6Í3Ï (6N3P in eng. notation) and never be a military triode.

These theremins look really nice. From the samples on the website, it seems they have a pretty, rich timbre. If anyone gets their hands on one of these things, would you care to give a review/report on what they're like? There aren't any Youtube videos or anything available for reference. The only thing I was questioning looking at the pictures there are of them is that the pitch antenna seems to be slightly slanted and it seems that might affect playability to some extent. Thanks for posting, Pegna!

Thank you for providing yet another source of theremins for those of us out there. Is a price in USD listed for those who might be interested? I built a tube theremin based on the design of Mark Keppinger

and these instruments are labor intensive to construct.

I think we would all like to hear a skilled player do a sample so we can get a better idea of the tonal quality rather than sweeping from low to high.

I agree with the other posters... I am currently thinking about buying a new theremin, and this caught my attention. It looks really nice but, without a recording of someone playing a melody in it, it seems safer from my viewpoint to choose other theremins of which there are recordings/videos on the internet.

I'm sure posting such a recording would greatly help you sell your theremins.

If this theremin at this relatively low price was intended to be a serious and professional instrument, they could have sent one to one of the renowned professional thereminists in order to get a more or less positive judgment.

Moog did so with the 91 series and Lydia Kavina or with the Etherwave Pro and Pamelia Kurstin. Dan Burns lets Thomas Grillo promote his B3 theremins.

I'm not sure if one can build an vacuum tube instrument at this price and have an instrument with at least the same quality and playability of an equally priced transistor theremin.

Mattia Pegna isn’t really a company. He is a very kind and nice guy who earns his living as a guitarist. He builds his Satie tube Theremins in his free time on order. I’ve seen some of his earlier builds which had a few flaws, but the recent builds are fine instruments.
