According to their mailing list mailing, they are also going to be in NC 9/12 in Chapel Hill and on 10/4 in Asheville.

I really want to go to one of those shows - but a Monday night and a Tuesday night? I might have to take a day of vacation to go to either one of those!

Wow - I didn't realize they'd be in Chapel Hill so soon. The 9/12 date isn't on the Barbez website. We'll have to spread the word to the local theremin scene. Steve(s) - ya listening? :)

We have some special guests that night...Armen Ra, a sublime theremin player who weaves Armenian-tinged melodies, and the great downtown vocal experimentalist Shelley Hirsch, who will be singing her unique vocal accompaniment to classic Bernard Herrmann film instrumentals, will both be performing solo sets. We'll also have our dear friends Sarah Bernstein on violin and Carl Maguire on accordion joining us on several songs...


The new album will be available at the show and (very soon) through our website (http://www.barbez.com). It's also available through our label at http://www.importantrecords.com and in many independent and chain stores including Other Music (nice to support an independent record store), Tower, and Amazon.
