part of "screen on the green" series of movie showings on the national mall in washinton, dc. i'd suggest that any locals with battery operated theremins make an appearence.

july 17 after the sun sets - probably somewhere 4th and seventh streets. take the metro, parking will be difficult and expect about ten thousand antendees. no alcohol.

this is the movie that made the theremin a star along with gort the robot with the cool death ray.

dr. samuel hoffman plays the signature theme along with violinist paul shure with the score by benard herrmann.

If only I had known I would have rescheduled my trip.

I would got back from DC last night.

It sounds like a fun event.

For some of you it will be the closest thing to a drive-in movie you will ever experience.
