Update from the director of Golgotha: I've learned that all non-competing films in this event have been pulled. This includes Golgotha unfortunately. However, the director wanted me to remind everyone who wants to see Golgotha in Europe, as well as the US, to contact their local independent theater owners, and have them contact the director through the movie's site to arrange to have the movie shown in their theaters.

I'll keep you posted on further updates regarding Golgotha. Karla Davis (the director) sends her deepest regrets to the folks in France who were hoping to catch this film. She adds that efforts are under way in ernest to secure distribution.

Well--- Gloobin, Gleebin, Globbin Glowbin?
A student filmmakers wet dream for German directorial risk-taking of the first decade of the last century?
A black comedy set in 900AD, couched in the aforesaid?
A new gay, religious, witchcraft movie?
The trailer is TOO WEIRD!
Do not mistake my intentions, I am glad that the filmmakers decided to use Theremin as a central instrument in the musical construction of the film's incidental music. But, really---
I would like a more specific depiction of the kind of film that I would be choosing to see.
It's just me, friends.
Good Luck,

I haven't seen the film, though I would like to.

It has gotten pretty good reviews out on the 'net. Ironically, one of the criticisms was that the trailer wasn't that good (compared to the film).

The scene that I have seen was the scene for which I provided music -- it was done in a silent film style -- the look of the scene -- the set, the lighting, etc... was really beautiful (in glorious blank and white!)

The reviews gave me more insight about the film than the trailer. The film is about a witch ("Golgotha") who, on her deathbed, tells the story of her life -- which is presented as flashbacks throughout the film.

I'm not holding out much hope that this film will show in Kansas City but I do hope to see it at some point.

"Well--- Gloobin, Gleebin, Globbin Glowbin?"
- not sure..
"A new gay, religious, witchcraft movie?"
- Not sure about gay or religeous - but its a fair bet that witchcraft / sorcery is in there somewhere! ;)
"The trailer is TOO WEIRD!"
- In that case, I suspect (hope) the film will be "too wierd"!

This is probably, from what I have seen, not a film that those who regard "Pokemon" as demonic, should go and see!

I want to see it - And the Theremin is there in glory, even in the trailer!
