I'll be playing at the White Noise Electronic Music Festival at 1:00am on Saturday 8th September, alongside Man From Uranus and others with Damo Suzuki, and then doing a solo set eleven hours later at noon.

Day tickets are available until the 1st of October, and cost £20.

There's a whole bunch of other stuff too. Follow the link.

No, I mean the other September, usually referred to as November.

Well spotted, Thierry.

You're part of Damo's network now, eh? Good stuff! I hear he drinks lighter fluid. Or something.

Seemingly so. I'm not entirely sure what that means - being in Damo's network. I looked it up and apparently he has worked with theremin players before - Phil Uranus (I'm not sure about Phil - he might have been synthesising), theremin prophet Beatrix Ward-Fernandez (*), Sukho Lee of Seksu Roba and AQi Fzono (he of the Syntheremin (http://www.thereminworld.com/news.asp?s=526).)

Truth is, I'm more excited about meeting Phil than Damo.

I'll let you know if anyone's breath smells of naphtha.

I find it hard to believe you don't own a few Can records, Gordon!

Damo Suzuki's Network = any local musician he grabs to be in his band when he plays in your area. My old flatmate played with him and I think a couple of members of my band are in there too. And another bloke from my other band.

Phil's a really nice guy, we played at the Quwack festival here in Bristol last year. A Theremin was onstage during his set but I'm not entirely sure what exactly it was doing - it was probably being quite heavily modulated by something!

So do I. I was distracted by advancing hormones and Suzi Quatro (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7SXWgC0SLCA). That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

I know, I know. I told them, but it's not a big deal. I suspect the problem is with outsourcing the site - websites need exact and detailed specs, and, well, WLM aren't "exact and detailed" people. They're more the "just enough to make it work and keep it flexible" types.

They did correct a slightly more important error of omission that I spotted - when the site went online it didn't mention the dates of the festival anywhere!

...and it's been cancelled. Apparently not quite enough to make it work.

Ah, well.
