What's a looper?

I have posted a short explanation about looping and a work that I composed last spring for looped theremin.

Loopers have many different features and exist as software (that run on PC's, Macs, or Linux), and hardware (foot pedals and rack-mounted units).

Rens,

Thank you for the compliment!

I have been playing the theremin a little over two years now.

To hold long steady notes in tune is more important than speed -- particularly when starting out. Strive for accuracy rather than speed and you will likely amaze yourself with your progress.

Enjoy!

Kevin Kissinger is dopest.

My music also is looped Theremin (http://www.myspace.com/alexanderthomasmusic) and I would half recommend it. It's really good for the Tangerine Dream type stuff, not great for fast progressing pieces. But then I never think the Theremin is particularly great for that anyway, staccato / fast-paced stuff always sounds quite silly with the Theremin's timbre.

Alexander,

Thank you! Given that theremin looping is your specialty, that is a great compliment.

Always enjoy hearing your work with the Epro and the RC50 loop station.
