Hey everyone!

I would like to know if any of you has attempted to play the Canon or know of someone else who has...famous or not?

Thanks!

Yes, coalport did a fun rendition of it in May of 2005.

He used his recently acquired Etherwave Pro and its various voices to play layer after layer of the main theme in harmony along with a simple drum, plucked bass, and brass section accompaniment.

Good stuff!

Uh...where are you going to "look 'em up" at?
Unless you already have it, you can only get it from one of us, or the man himself.

[edit] Mario - Be patient. Coalport will be around sooner or later. We should at least allow him the opportunity to respond first. [/edit]

I'm not sure. I looked in the membership list...but it's a private listing. I guess the only way will be for Coalport to see my question as I will get notifications about the thread...unless you think of something else?

Have a nice day!

While you're waiting, and since it's no big secret, you can check out coalport's (http://www.peterpringle.com/) website.

Opps...Actually, I just realized the piece is already posted on his website on the Etherwave Pro page (http://www.peterpringle.com/pro.html).

Enjoy!

Gee thanks Jeff S!. I did not know "Coalport" was/is Peter Pingle!. That's cool.

I'll look into his web site for sure.

Thanks again for your help! :-)

Here's my version of Pachelbel's famous canon:

Pachelbel (http://www.peterpringle.com/music/pachelcrazy.mp3)

You'll notice I called it "Pachelcrazy". There are about 6 theremins in it and a variety of other things.

It also makes a great practice tune. Even if you only play the bass, and then your own slow scale on top of it, you couldn't get a better D major workout with Jack Lalane.
