While surfing political blogs, just stumbled across this (http://www.democraticstuff.com/Thereminists-for-Obama-Photo-Button-p/bt23707.htm).

P.S. Yes, he's left-handed.

YUCK!
Just watch his right hand--- in your wallet pocket, snatching you wealth.
Are all Theremists communists? Hee!

Good Luck!

But of course, Tovarishch Tesla... After all, how could decadent capitalists possibly master this glorious exemplar of superior Soviet technology?!?

I think it is safe to say that not all communists are thereminists.

Vladimir Ilyich Lenin's love of the instrument is well known but Leon Trotsky said, "Technique is noticed most markedly in the case of those who have not mastered it."

Of course not. What a silly question.

That makes about as much sense as suggesting that all pianists are Italian nationalists.

Hwuh...? Did the concept of Italian nationalism even exist in Cristofori's time? (Brief web search suggests they're a century apart: ca. 1711 for the earliest piano, ca. 1815 for first stirrings of the risorgimento.)

[Sorry... this is what happens when I'm trying not to write my syllabi.]

And isn't there a definite socialist tinge to the fact that any proletarian can walk up to a theremin for the very first time and start making recognizable Cold-War-vintage sci-fi sound effects?

Well, my take on this is that when people manufacture theremins and folks like you and me buy them, that is free-enterprise at work.

All thereminists are equal, but some thereminists are more equal than others.

Could there be a more specialized niche market than the one for this button? I just ordered four of them!

Welcome to Theremin World, joyvaman!

I like the stuff on your MySpace Music page.

Hop on over to 'Roll Call! - 2008 - Part 2' and tell us about yourself and how you met the Theremin. :)
