Isn't that a rather defeatist attitude?

(And not necessarily accurate - I've had a couple of ego boosting conversations with young women after performing at gigs (*) which ended with my explaining that "I'm married" and "well it matters to me.")

(*) Definitely attributable to the theremin. I'm no Adonis.

Gordon, I don't even want to go into the half of it here...it will suffice to say for now that when I last bartended a bunch of fine-looking gents who attend the Recording Workshop in Massieville, Ohio, were suddenly quite liquid with their money when I mentioned what I can do with my hands...

I'm saying nothing. Mostly because I have a sense of humour that would make Benny Hill blush, God rest his smutty soul.

I also must say amongst theremin players the tension, as it were, can run pretty high...after all, we are the sexiest category of instrumentalists without question. I did have a fleeting moment with a fellow theremin player a few months back, although I must say sadly he possesses no talent musical or otherwise.

Sometime we must meet up and discuss whether theremin events on this side of the Atlantic over the last few years have been appropriately named. I love a bit of gossip. :-)

As event organiser I would never describe HO 2007 as a farce. And it wasn't: Mrs C reports that almost everyone slept in the room that she allocated them.

Now can we change the subject please.

Sorry, everyone--guess we got a bit carried away on that tangent, fun as it was. Now, I'm off to add you lovely people!
