So, what do people think - real or synth?

The insanely long, yet precise, jumps make me think it's a synth.

I thought for a moment that perhaps a dalek could make such long and precise jumps, but they seem to lack the necessary appendages for precise playing.

I know I've posted this before, but it seems appropriate, so here goes again.

Shows how much I know! And I have just now been able to hear that sound clip (couldn't before, no speakers on that computer), and it doesn't sound like a theremin even to my poor and untrained ears.

For me Melanie Pappenheim's vocals (The Doctor's Theme, Doomsday, Seeking The Doctor) have a very theremin-like quality to them - I puzzled over them for a while, and if I didn't know better now I'd probably still be undecided.

For me, the finest pieces of music Murray Gold did for Who has Melanie Pappenheim's vocals running through them. I've never come across anyone who hasn't been moved by the power of Doomsday.
But anyway, I am undecided too. Murray has this uncanny ability to confuse me at the best of times, with his music. It takes me a couple of listens to determin what instrument he's used etc and often, it's not an instrument he's used but a voice. I know he has used synths on the latest soundtrack.
