I just found "Theremin" listed in a DragonForce band member page. Here's one in their music videos, but I can't hear it anywhere! Apparently, they use it in their "Ultra Beatdown" album and used all sorts of guitar effects processors on it.

Does that surprise you? The style they play is more about how hard, fast, and loud they can play. I'll give them their due though as they can do all of that very well. I just find the constant, machine gun style of drumming to be annoying and distracting.

It appears the keyboardist *may* be playing a couple of sustained notes on the theremin at 3:40. However, it is clear he does play a wobbly, upward sweep at 3:48.

It might have more to do with they using effects on the theremin, or it being played at the same time as the keyboard. In 0:52, it sounded like a keyboard when his hand was near the theremin after the singer sings "tomorrow". In 0:57, I think what sounds like a guitar wailing is the theremin.

I was expecting this sound: Leon Theremin (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w5qf9O6c20o)

New info! They have a "making of" video on youtube which shows one way they use it. See 4:07
