Cogitating about a theremin here; what about amplilfiers? I don't want to spend a great deal of money, but (Natch!) I want one that sounds OK. Is the Moog theremin amp OK? Price is good at around $100:

I've heard good things about the Moog amp but I always tel people to just take the instrument into a music store and try out a few amps.

Usually they will be more than happy to let you plug into their selection and make your decision.

I opted for a Behringer K900FX amp on sale from Musician's Friend:

I'm really happy with my Roland Micro Cube: lightweight, portable (A/C or batteries), good effects. Great sound for eight pounds!

Aye, I was looking at getting a Microcube for mine but thought the Fender practice amp I've got was enough for now :) Them cubes do seem like the thing for the job.

I can't say enough good thigns about my Crate KXB100.

It has multiple inputs, good EQ an effects loop and a nice internal reverb.

I tried over a dozen amps and this one sounded the best.

Try a used Peavey keyboard amp from the '80s. They're built like tanks, full range, and LOUD. You should have no problem finding one for $100 or less.
