Hello, I'm Mike. I'm based in Devon, England. And, according to the parcel tracking feature on the DHL website, tomorrow morning I'm going to be the proud owner of an Etherwave in a cherry wood case. How excited am I? Too excited for someone who has seen the back of forty, I suspect, but what the hell. I've been aware of the Theremin since I was a teenager (and a Bonzo's fan), and now I've finally got round to getting one. Hooray! Thanks for a great forum, I'll post again soon.

Hello again.

Thank you all for your warm welcome. Well my Etherwave is here, set-up and running through a Korg KB-1, and straight in to the headphones my wife insisted upon. Sensible girl! So far I've only succeeded in scaring our cats, but I do feel that I now understand the first principles of the unit. Learning to stand still is going to be quite a challenge - quite the opposite to what I'm used to with my previous instrument - the drums!

I'm now just off to post a quick technical question elsewhere.

Regards
Mike

P.S: I am a musician and the monkey is a businessman... ;-)
