Hey everyone. Sorry if this was answered long in the past, but I was wondering what I can do to control the radius of frequency detection so that I can determine how far away from the antennae I need to be for a response to occur. I was hoping I'd be able to get about a full meter if possible. Does anyone know what I can do to make that happen?

That depends entirely on the model of instrument you're using. On my Etherwave, I just turn the knob that says "Pitch", and getting one meter is no problem. What are you using?

OK. The fixed pitch radio frequency oscillator is adjustable. This is the pitch knob of which Tom speaks. By varying the frequency of the fixed oscillator we vary where the hand has to be for the variable oscillator to be the same frequency. At this point the carrier wave becomes a straight line - a zero beat - and that defines the outer edge of the pitch field.
