Jaycar Kit - Debugging

Hi everyone

I've been building a Jaycar v2 kit, and I could do with some help debugging it.

When I connect the PSU, I get a squawking noise from the speaker, but nothing else.

Following the guide, I can get 6v between pin 6 of IC3 and the transformer coils, but only 3v between them and pin 8 of IC2.

The output from the regulator is fine, and the chips are receiving power and ground correctly.

Does anyone have a guide to what voltage should be present across the circuit?

Apologies, I have the version 1 kit.
I replaced Q2, which was faulty, and still nothing. The amplifier is working correctly, I can get an external signal to come out through the speaker.
