OK, it took me literally years to get around to it, but I finally have a video of the theremin robot in action. Yeah, it doesn't play nearly as well as even a moderately-skilled human performer. But it's better than me.

Good Gravy--I'm clearly doomed to be forever outdone by a heartless machine! Not unlike John Henry, on a less physical scale. Ah, well; it was John Henry who was immortalized in song, not the steam drill.

Alan, that's just because you're unfamiliar with robot folk music. Perhaps Lev will write a song about the steam drill!

Maybe the automotons HAVE written a folk song about the steam drill--they just haven't seen any reason to tell us about it!
