hi, i've just joined this site, i'm based in Lancashire, England . I've been playing theremin for several years, mainly using a moog. I play in several bands around lancashire area, ones a very strange improvisational dub band, the other's a psychedelic rock band (well it is when i'm playing) - if anyones interested, i can see about getting some tracks on mp3.
I've also started doing some theater work.
Gear - Apart from the moog, I use a moog ring modulator, Carlsbro analogue echo box and a Korg AX1 effects pedel (its got some very interesting filter effects). All through a guitar amp.
I tried a zoom box but it didn't really produce.

I like the analogue echo - gives some nice sounds - far nicer control than modern digital stuff.
I've found having the echo and ring mod on a stand near me, so I can control the effects to make for more interesting playing.

I've got the design for a simple talk box, based on the original idea, and far cheaper than a vocoder. I'll let you know how it goes.

Cheers
Sue

Hi Sue,

Interesting web-site from your profile - (it needs a "www" putting in it!)

I'd have liked to see more of it, but you've maxed out your geocities bandwidth.

:-(
