Hmmm... Okay, the problem did not lie with the shielding. Today I bought a premium jack->jack cable, replaced one of the jack plugs with a minijack, and I still have the same problems... Now considering it worked fine at the guitar shop, I tried connecting it to one of my regular amplifiers and what do you know? Prestine quality Theremin heaven!
So the problem apparently is with the line in on my computer introducing some sort of feed back noise. Do I really have to throw money after an external amp just to have something between my computer and the theremin, or do you guys have any other ideas?
I really need to be able to record the sound from the Theremin, since part of the fun lies with screwing around with it afterwards :-)
Regards
Simon
