Sheri saw all the Pros at Etherfest and immediately took a liking to them, even with their weird aesthetics. Any idea what one is going for in the used market now?

I played Randy George's for about 5 minutes and liked it.

I love the sound of them. I can't seem to get that out of my Standard -- but then I haven't done major experimentation in software yet.

I'm glad she's hooked on theremins at least.
But wow, tough gift request.
Check e-bay.
If you couldn't get one down there,
there's not better place at this point.
But I don't blame her I love the EWPro a lot.
Good Luck!

They are pretty much unobtainable now. :(

I hate Moog for killing their Pro model.

It's good but it's not as warm as the Standard imo. I've had a couple of years' experience of playing both. I find the Etherwave Pro a more practical instrument for sure, but the most beautiful timbre lies in the Standard.

pretty much concur with Alexander.

Warmthwise tone is about the same tho on the lower octave switch as on the standard, IMHO. Seems to get progressively less so on the middle and upper octave switches. But playability I find easier.

Someone on TWorld forum did explain to me whay that was but I;ve forgotten...

Guess I should be really glad I got mine when I did (right after the first Ethermusic Festival). Wonder if the value has held - or even gone up?
