Gordon-- good luck on that UK Mold Spore. (I can't find it... perhaps bidding ended before I looked?) If you don't snare it for what you're willing to pay, let me know what that magic number is; I admire your work, and so I'd be willing to go below the pedal's current market value.

Yes, this sounds crazy, until you consider that it's one of the less pricey items I'm planning to sell (e.g., Roland VK-8, Creamware Pro-12, Sequential Circuits Prophet-600... possibly a DSI Poly Evolver Rack and Creamware MiniMax, too). Add in a guitar or two, and you can see that I'd be only too happy to be spared the trouble of listing pedals.

Gordon, did I tell you about the Mold Spore? VILNA's former bassist got one very recently and he loved it.

I think this is the first I heard of it. Pretty sure.

Joe Garcia ( http://www.myspace.com/joegarciasnoise)? That counts as a recommendation - I like his stuff.

Brian - here (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330238905556)'s the uk ebay item.

...i just realise, that my previous post

...interfacing (as in: control, change and configure) is another problem: (...) Octopus (...) Lemur...

doesnt make much sense without further explanation:

...for example I use the Octopus to send MIDI-msgs, which are then interpreted by either a software-effect directly, or converted to CVs, which then control hardware effects...like rhytmically adding or changing an effect...

...the same with the Lemur, which I configured to place different 'voices' (theremin, other instruments) into different locations of my audio-scene (front, back, left, right, center etc.)...

...while one is 'pre-configured' before the piece starts, the other is used while playing and directly accessible...

To Thierry,

While I may be running before I'm walking. I've been playing guitar for most of my life, and with effects for most of it. I've worked as a professional musician for the last 5 years or so. I have a pretty good knowledge of music. I'm looking to getting into the theremin and begining to apply it for melodic purposes into my songs. And while I haven't gotten my hands on it yet, I don't see myself giving up on it before I become atleast somewhat sufficiant. I've taught myself how to play a number of instruments, and I'm sure I can figure this one out eventually too. Plus, as soon I want to start using effects, I'll have them already! Thanks for the concern, but I think I'll be alright.

Goat Punishment - do let us know how you are getting along from time to time - it can be a slow learning curve with lots of plateaus and it's encouraging to see people progressing.

fairplay - and this is simpler than your analogue set-up?

All - Woo-hoo! I'm getting Brian R's Mold Spore.
