UK - new Moog distribution network established

Brits - been having trouble finding a Moog etherwave theremin?

That's probably because their UK dealer - Turnkey/Sound Control - went into liquidation.

The good news is that Moog have established a new distribution network.

That's good news. I know someone in the UK considering buying an E-Standard, but they don't want to buy one from overseas, (costly postage and voltage issues). Interestingly, I believe that at least part of the reason I never tracked down an E-pro was down to people's reluctance to ship one to the UK; some US suppliers, although helpful at first, declined putting my name on a waiting list once they discovered I was from the UK. The same has happened even with private sellers.

Thereminstrel, Sorry to hear that dealers are so reluctent to ship to the UK.

It's not just theremins. There are a lot of products that dealers are reluctant to send across the Atlantic.

It used to be that, when marketing goods in the UK, many companies applied an exchange rate of one dollar to one pound and blamed it on tax and duty etc. A claim that had the distinct ring of truthiness (http://www.merriam-webster.com/info/06words.htm).

That doesn't happen so much these days, but an etherwave over here still costs a hundred dollars more than in the US. Tsk tsk.

Reverb and Sound Control are essentially the same business - at least, I see no differences so far.

As for Bristol, meh to Digital Village, yay to Emis.
