I can think of a possible explanation, but it's a bit of a stretch.

The URL that Fred landed on - http://www.youtube.com/user/copperleaves - is present as a link on the Tomboyish Girl page - in the attribution of Copperleaves's comment.

It might be that Fred clicked a second time while the page was loading, and by chance had his mouse pointer exactly over the copperleaves link at the time, so that the computer acted on the click and jumped to the next page the instant the first page had been rendered.

If this is the case I am jolly impressed by (1) the size of Fred's screen - on my MacBook I have to scroll down to the link - and (2) the speed of his processor and internet connection that he did not see the Tomboyish Girl page flash by on the way to the Copperleaves page. Either that or Fred glanced away for a moment.

I think it was Phil. He's been doing stuff like that all week.

The link to the "tomboyishgirl" worked next time I tried to go back the hear "pleasures".. It took me a while to discover how to get back to this song! (in fact, I had to go to my history tab) [this is the reason I provided a link to this song - I realized that something had gone 'wrong' and that others may not find this song by following Peter's link]

My mouse has been causing me problems, sometimes putting in random clicks (I have now swapped it).. And I work with 3 PC's running (5 monitors)

I tend not to watch pages loading, so even if the "tomboyishgirl" page had fully loaded I could easily have missed it.. At the time I followed the link, one of my other PC's had just completed a simulation that had been running for several hours - and that took my attention for quite a while before I looked at my web PC. (I have only one PC which is allowed to access the internet)

So there is a rational explanation, and ghosts are not needed!

But if ghosts were involved, I am greatful to him / it / them for helping me to find this superb song!

I see the front page reads a bit more professionally now, and that the optional volume antenna is not the only change. The longer body will be good for two handed use, and the possibility of a 2 dimensional antenna is appealing too.

As you appear to be watching this thread, Horst, which BTW just got 26'd - (automatically closed after 26 postings - it's a feature) may I finish it with some positive suggestions.

Firstly - I suspect it is the note-on event button which lets you conclude that it is "superior" to the ethervox. In that limited sense I would agree. A note event trigger is fundamental to MIDI and I consider it a very welcome development. Please don't lose it in the two antenna configuration - obviously the button will be tricky to operate while both hands are occupied - although some clever dick will probably find a way (joke!) - the piezzo trigger could be (I guess) foot operated, or alternatively a finger contact (i.e. touching the tips of the thumb and forefinger together) could work. Or this could be a use for the second dimension of the 2-d antenna.

My second suggestion is that you get an experienced thereminist - and there are some in Australia - to try it out and assist with demonstration videos. Especially let them try the 2-d antenna in different configurations - this is terra incognita and it is not clear to me whether left/right or forward/back or some angle between is preferable for the 2nd dimension. My intuition is that it should be at 90 degrees to the movement or the pitch hand (I've been doing a few gedankenexperiments waving my arms around since I saw your page an hour ago and this feels most natural) but as has been said already, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. :-)

Finally, some thereminists appreciate the option to hear what note is being generated when the volume is muted in an earpiece - a "pitch preview" - this would - I presume - be a very simple addition that would enable players to come in on the right note without audibly fishing around for it.
