Have you named yours? If so, please share :)
Just for Fun: Did you name your Theremin?
"I constructed a wonderful instrument with the assistance of kind friends and mentors. 'Gabriella' was the name given to my theremin by my bride, Dr. Sheri. 'Gabriella' is the name of the muse from the film Rigoletto, who helps heal the soul of a tortured man by singing to him." - Hypergolic
As some of us are aware, Peter owns two historically significant RCA built theremins. One floor-length model once owned by Dr. Samuel Hoffman and used in many of the old suspense and Sci-Fi films of the 1940's and 1950's. Peter calls her 'Sammie' (http://www.peterpringle.com/meethoffman.html).
The second is the RCA theremin once owned by Leon Theremin's assistant, Julius Goldberg. Peter calls this one 'Goldie' (http://www.peterpringle.com/visitgoldie1.html).
Olivia's is (The) Greenly Theremin
Ken Brown's is named Aerielle
Bret's is Maunette
David Skelley's is Unkl Claude
Mine are Uncle George and Anastasia
My theremins are all called "it".
At least anyone outside the room would think that.
"I'll never be able to play IT"
"What's IT doing now?"
"Ah - the Hell with IT!"
Judging from this thread it seems everyone has named theirs - and I have to now assume that's why I still play like crap. I've never been able to figure that out. All I need to do is name them. Yes then I will play better. Yea!
Too bad "putain de merde" is already taken. But then Thierry can treat his babies like this because they are all scared "merdless" of him knowing what he is capable of doing to them. Mine just treat me with impunity.
My signature series Etherwave is named "Bob" out of respect to the legend himself. My Etherwave built into a traveling bar cabinet is "Barton".
