I have read that some of you put some nylon tybing on the loop. But I want something kind of *girly* rather than industrial looking... Do you think that elastic ribbon would be okay? Just wanted to know before I go and buy some...

What is the requirement for the chirping to stop? Certain thickness?

THank you... :)

It just needs to be an insulator and prevent your fingers from touching the metal.

One halloween I draped a bedsheet over my instrument, ghost style, and it did not affect the playability at all.

Perhaps you could sew a pretty theremin cover. If you can make it look like this (http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=2325940&l=843e177710&id=689181318) I would like one too.

Something fancy can be build with the
strickliesel (http://www.google.de/search?um=1&hl=de&client=safari&rls=en&biw=1309&bih=696&tbm=isch&sa=1&q=strickliesel&oq=strickliesel&aq=f&aqi=g10&aql=&gs_sm=e&gs_upl=4021l25171l0l3l3l1l0l0l0l203l391l0.1.1). The result is tubish, should fit and stability temperature issues were yesterday.

Amethyste - I think that's a wonderful idea! With a little creativity, the possibilities are immense. It'll be interesting to see what you come up with.

DOMINIK … Don’t eat your vegetables!

Oh so beautiful, you have given the room a breath of fresh air. I felt the oxygen get sucked out the past few days.

* A Christmas stocking
* old gramma underpants from the second-hand store
* $15 worth of Hello Kitty stickers
* pink nail polish
* Elmers glue sprinkled with sequins and glitter
* fake leapard fur
* bicycle handlebar tape with pinks skulls with hair bows (but strangely, no hair as it is a skull)
* the cover of a romance novel with a painting of long haired Fabio, wrapped around the tubing and covered in Modge Podge

Why not just use a length of heat shrink tubing? It comes in 'hot pink' and a variety of other colors. You could even layer different colors for a "rainbow" effect.

Don't use anything that is going to dangle. That includes Fabio.

There are lots of videos on YT demonstrating and discussing heat shrink tubing.

No Fabio Dangling?! :( Awwwwwwwwwwwwww...
Coalport, you are a dream crusher :P

I was thinking of Elastic ribbon cause it is easy to change if one day I don't like it anymore or if it looks like it could used a new one...

I thought of the nylon sleeve but hmmmm... I don't know, it's not calling to me at all...

I would love to know how to turn my theremin more personnal. I wish there were wraps for wood furnitures (like they have wraps for cars)... I'd have my Theremin wrapped in Sunflowers or daisies... Yeah I know :( Girlie stuff hmmmm?

Are you guys running away yet?
