Theremin heard in "The Station Agent" soundtrack

Yep, this has been confirmed to be a musical saw. Don't believe everything you read, I suppose :)

That's what I thought, too.

There is also a musical saw on a Sarah McLaughlin CD my wife was playing. I heard it and immediately ran over to check out the liner notes but, alas, it was a saw. (which is still pretty cool anyway...)

i find it amazing that a saw, a piece of metal, can sound like an electronic instrument, makes you wonder if any synthesized sound can be found somewhere, somehow in nature
