A while back I saw a "touch theremin" listed on Ebay. It was basically two metal rods that you squeezed in your hands to make the sounds.

Have any of you ever played one of these?

It was simply called a touch theremin.

I think it was somebody's home made thing.

The sound sample had so much reverb that it was hard to tell what it actuallly sounded like.

I think I will do a Google search on it and see what I come up with.

Doesn't that ..kinda defeat the purpose and uniquity of a theremin?... just a thought (:

Sort of.

The reason I am interested in it is because the sound files that were attached to the auction were awesome.

I think there was a lot of reverb, though, which is what made them sound so good.

It didn't really sound much like a theremin at all but I liked it anyway.
