Easy - cheesy theremin project ?

Does anyone have an easy cheesy theremin project. It doesn't necessarily have to be super cheap, but I just want something that is step - by- step and UP TO DATE with some pictures. It's amazing that I have not found something like that anywhere on the web. I started the coolidge project, but was disappointed at the outdatedness of the parts list, and lack of directions. The circuit was good, but where is the explanation, the procedure, the pictures? Anyone have a good one? Please help ! Thanks !

i already looked at that one. I don't like the board etching involved, but that is the best one I've seen so far.
