Antennae

I'm currently building my first theremin from scratch and have a few questions about the antenna.

Where can I buy an antenna?
Are there different kinds? And how do they affect the performance of the theremin?

What kind of theremin are you building? Depending on the look you're going for, simple telescoping radio antennas might suffice. You can buy them at most electronics supply stores, or go to a garage sale & buy a cheap radio/phone and take it apart.

If you want something more complicated, you can try the "Lev Antenna". If it offers what it promises, it would be great. I haven't tried yet, but it sounds good.
