On or about 10/24/2006 I discovered the theremin by reading on www.foetus.org, “and an appearance by the amazing Pamelia Kurstin, the world's foremost thereminist!”

So I say, ok what’s a thereminist?
Google it, and discover it’s someone that plays a theremin.
So I say, ok what’s a theremin?
Google it and my life hasn’t been the same.

I completely blew off the next 8 hours of work at my day job searching the net for any and all things related to the theremin.
Only to come home and spend the next 6 hours at my computer watching videos and listening to sound clips of the theremin.

About 3 weeks later I build a Moog Etherwave Standard kit.
Then I have to buy an amplifier, mic stand and cables.

So I’m $400 in the hole and I don’t have a musical bone in my body.

What the hell was I thinking?

This should make for an interesting journey. I do dispute your assertion though - I'm sure that everyone has at least one musical bone. Only catch is, you gotta find it all by yourself. After all,

"Hello, have you seen my musical bone?"

is never a good line,

and I have the restraining orders to prove it.

That's funny, I never got in trouble for using my musical bone.

I made music.

That's right.

You could get away with saying it in Germany.

That's what they call the funny bone, Der Musik Knochen.

I'm not sure how it will help you play the theremin, though.

i've got a 1958 fender jassmaster and a chorus pedal.
the last thing i played was "the house of the rising sun" for a friend by request in 1992.

the six-string just isn't my axe. (not that the E standard is either)

whoooo-whooooooo's to say???
