i'm going to sand my box some more.
i'm not yet pleased with the way it looks.

Buddy, keep sanding it until you can read a newspaper through it.

Then it will be done.

odd, (i hate to say i finally got some time to try to play after a few weeks)
i had to turn the pitch knob to about 5~6 O'clock before i could get zero beat. normally it's around 12~1.

anyone have any ideas?

First try moving your theremin to a different location and see if the problem goes away.

If not, then your theremin may need some calibration. After this week, my after-hours schedule will lighten up -- perhaps we can get together and calibrate your Theremin.

i've been out the last two months with other projects.

Youre initial post.....
That's MY story.

I learned about it from a magazine telling "How to make a Theremin." And i Googled away.
I found 200 links to youtube video's in first 4 days. :-)
Took me three weeks to buy a Theremin.
And, no... I have NO musical experience what so ever.....

Legal side-arm carry!? It's already there in the 1st Ammendment!
Hells bells, now, you can intimidate, maim, or perhaps, kill someone without touching them! Sounds like my Theremin playing! HA!
