Bad links

I know invalid links in posts are the bane of any forum or BB, and this site has plenty of them, but bad links to pages within this forum itself are particularly annoying.

It would be great if you could find the time to run a link checker over the site and fix (or delete) those bad ones which relate to Theremin World.

This is unfortunately an artifact left over from our change to the new platform.  I will look for a good bad link checker, but in the meantime if you find any, please point them out here and I'll correct them ASAP.

The ones I have come across already have popped up a page showing:

... and saying it has been reported ... presumably to you.

Ok.  Those tend to be site errors and yes, I do get reports for those.  Unfortunately, it tells me the link you were trying to go to, but not the page that had the bad link on it.  I'll see if I can fix that.

If there are dead links leading to other sites that are no longer online, I don't get reports about those. If you happen to find any of those, please let me know.

I'm also working on some new features to make it possible for members to submit content like links, articles, etc. and to flag broken links.

As regards dead links to other sites, I've encountered dozens of them, often from the same member's posts, and usually from a few years ago.

There were too many to list; hence my suggestion of running a bad link checker across the site.

Going through these now... What do you mean by "waste of space"?  Do you not think these are worth having listed on the site - even for historical reasons?

It is my opinion of not worth having, but get Thierry's opinion if one is in question. These two links could lead most newbies into trouble which hurts their future in theremin exploration.

I have a solution for this forthcoming... some day soon hopefully.  There's SO much I want to get done on the site... so many features to help all of us.

Any ASP.NET MVC gurus out there want to help?  :)
