Hello, all--

Is there someplace here at TW that lists where we are if we want to meet/hang out with other local thereminists?

Thanks,

Rob Schwimmer

Hi all,

For those in the know, I am just outside of Pechanga Indian Reservation. If you are a So. California Classical Thereminist and you get out this way I would enjoy having you stop by my house off Murrieta Hot Springs Rd and play a tune on the purest modern day theremin ever designed, mine. (-'

Ah! I see there was a map at some point but I can't open it... Does it still exist?

My house is at the same time

=> event location of the annual Theremin Summer Academy

=> one of the rare Theremin repair shops, where our instruments are not only fixed but also modified, upgraded and tuned.

=> the place where small gadgets like the EPVM1345 and the ESPE01 theremin add-on modules were born

=> the birth place of Thorwald Jørgensen's Instrument

Well Rob, with Scotland, France and Iceland on the itinerary, it looks like you're going to need a helluva lot more than the IRT to getcha where you want to go!  LOL

Rob - You're from Brooklyn?  We never would have guessed. LOL

The map was taken out of service many, many years ago.  I think Jason became concerned about our privacy and safety.  As I recall, it was quite well populated.  I'd imagine it would be much more densely populated now.

To my knowledge, there are a few of us in Ohio, although we've never met and don't know each other personally.  I was forced (for financial reasons) to sell my two Kees Enkelaar theremins to a couple of sound engineers/designers from the Cleveland area.  Someone locally was recently trying to sell a Moog Etherwave, probably because he/she found out how truly difficult it is to play, but was unsuccessful since he/she wanted top dollar for it.

I'd like to be friends with the guy in Pittsburgh who owns the RCA.  I'd love the chance to play one before I pass on.  :-)
