No sound/high voltage readings from theremax

Glad you got it working without major problems. I was much more pessimistic after what I've already experienced with the Theremax circuit.

Again, LOL ;-) ... I had one holiday in France about 20 years ago (Was with a French Woman, going to meet her parents..  ;-)

I was utterly shocked and dumbfounded by the "in yer face" sexism I saw everywhere.. But after a week realised that things which were outrageous to me, and to my "culture" were actually humerous and acceptable in France.. (or at least in Bordeaux - I dont know if there are cultural differences in different areas - certainly there are huge differences in the U.K.)

The women play the game as well, are (AFAICS) less pretentious - Its "in yer face" but perhaps not so much "behind your back".

Can only speak for my limited social / cultural circle .. But I think there is a lot of dishonest "political correctness" which has no real substance under it - Hypocricy really... Perhaps the French way is healthier!

My French girlfriend, who was utterly politically correct in the UK, and would have taken great offence turned into a tough fiesty young woman when in her home land - I actually think she enjoyed the "sexism" and reciprocated with sexist wit and barbed humour.. "sexism" was there - but it was out in the open, both "sides" equally "guilty" - it was almost a respectful acknowledgement of the difference, rather than our stupid pretense that there is no difference.

ps - I am not saying any of the above to defend Thierrys outrageous comments ;-) ROFLMAO!

I'm happy to hear your Theremin is working, wishing you well on your "Enclosure" build. You may want to consider installing the "Lev Antenna" to replace your pitch antenna. Just go here to get the information. http://www.oldtemecula.com/theremin/ant_build.htm Don't install the "Lev Antenna" until you have your enclosure finished, verifying the Theremin is still working in its new environment. Keep in mind you may have to "Re-Tune" your circuit after the new antenna is installed. May I suggest going over "All" of the "oldtemecula" web pages, you will find a wealth of "Commonsense" information that may be helpful. Enjoy your build.

Really ?  You mean a bit like the "Lev Antenna" which has absolutely nothing to do with Lev Termen and has been shown to be nothing more than an adjustable capacitance antenna with no "linearizing" qualities and has been "hammered on" relentlessly? - and to which there is almost always some damn reference in some posting on the "most recent posts" page? - Even if this is snuck in to completely unrelated threads.. Effectively SPAMMING!

And if "In His Service" was of such importance that it merits repeating on every post you make, I would have thought that you would welcome an opertunity to name who's service you were in! - Something of a missed opertunity my old pastor would have chided in days gone bye.. LOL ;-)

Hey - perhaps its the stench of sulphur which sometimes makes this place feel like home! ;-) ... I dont think I am a pure-blood devil though - I left the "place that must not be named" because the stench there was too strong for me.. It wasnt the sulphur which bothered me I think - more a smell like dirty armpit.

Hey guys, quit ragging on osterac. I think his comment was very gentlemanly, like a knight in shining armour rushing to defend a fair maiden's honour.

Sadly, the days of chivalry are long over in my neck of the woods. For instance, I am in the habit of holding doors open for people who have their hands full. My experience is that men uniformally say "thanks, mate", whereas with women there is a good chance of getting a snippy "I can manage!" as thanks.

Not that it stops me from being thoughtful. "Haters gonna hate." (Although I will admit to feeling a little guilty about chuckling over the batch of jokes that my wife just sent me that rely on negative female stereotypes for their humour.)
