Hello everyone,

I want to construct a pair of antennas for a Moog Etherwave out of 10mm copper pipe. Dous anyone know where to find the exact dimensions of the antennas? I bilieve the pitch antenna shloud be 18 inch long, but i have no clue about the diameter and length of the volume antenna.

Look for thee "build the EM theremin" article by bob moog.   It has all the info for building antennae

Pitch antenna length of the EM Theremin (witch 4 linearization coils) is 18 Inch (45cm). On the newer one with 3 coils the length is about 16 Inch (40cm).

Diameter of volume antenna is about 12 cm, spacing at the end is about 8.5 cm, lenght of bended antenna is about 23 cm.

I built mine of 10 mm chromed copper, but you can use pure copper or aluminium too, which is easier to bend. If you are using aluminium, the pitch antenna must be a few centimeters longer

Perhaps I'm missing something.  If it conducts well and is the same diameter, then the length, regardless of material, should be the same to achieve the same capacitance?

Ok, thank you!

I read that article already, but it only discribes how to make a simple u-shaped antenna.
