My Etherwave PCB

Hello everyone,

Today I drew a single sided PCB for the Etherwave in Eagle. Before I actually etch it, I would like to hear the opinion of fellow Etherwave builders. I am not sure about the components and traces being in the right place, and about their distances between each other.

Does anyone know what the dimensions from a real Moog Etherwave board are?

I was also wondering what the aluminum foil you see inside of some cabinets is for?

At least one jump can be eliminated.

But...
where are the ESD protection circuits, built-in buffers like in ESPE01/YAEWSBM module, replacing of LM13700, say, by TDA7052 etc. -- all the best of what was discussed on TW?!

I have a few suggestions, can you send me the eagle files to do the layout corrections?

I am kind of new to theremins and this forum. Built-in buffers look useful and I have updated my layout with the espe01 circuit.  The circuit looks like this now.

What is the advantage of a TDA7052 over a LM13700?

I have uploaded my eagle files for you here.

Sorry I meant the TDA7052A, an amplifier with DC volume control:

- can be loaded on phones or small speakers,
- wide gain range and logarithmic  "Gain vs control voltage"   characteristic ,
- 8-pin package vs 16-pin at LM13700

@wannes_dn

I sent you a PM with the reworked PCB.

Just finished my EW, based on this PCB. It is working perfect. Thank you.

At moment I get 7 (!) playable octaves.

Latency of IC is negligibly small and will be fully determined by the external RC circuits.
