Is there a word for someone who sings and plays the theremin at the same time? I can now tell you with complete confidence that there is. “CRAZY”!
Playing & Singing ??
I wondered where you went, and so the sun is going down on you, me too. Your video reveals theremins are played on the dark side, very nicely done.

Hi there O.T. - my problem is I play far too many instruments and there aren’t enough hours in the day. Yeah, that “lucky old sun” is dipping ominously below the horizon.
Last week, the flute wizard known as “Nadishana” sent me an instrument he has invented which he calls the “futujara” (based on the Slovakian overtone flute “fujara”) so now I am off on a whirlwind musical honeymoon with it.
Can you play the fujara and the theremin at the same time?

The woman you saw singing harmonies with the theremin was probably Carolina Eyck singing the STING classic “Fragile” (vid below).
What I found - for me - is that playing the theremin and singing at the same time is possible if you are performing in a low, ’sotto voce’ (Italian for “laid back”) vocal style….you know, kinda soft & whispery. If you try to put some energy into a vocal and really sing out with VOLUME and FORCE, playing the theremin at the same time becomes impossible.
I was able to overlap notes, but I couldn’t harmonize with myself, or play a consistent unison, at the level of performance I was aiming for so I restricted the theremin to fills.
