Hi everyone, newby here. I plugged in my B3 Theremin last night at band rehearsal and it is hardly producing any volume, I'd say about an 80% drop in output, the controls work normally otherwise. I've tried using another spare power supply (The original one, I've been running it off my board's power with no problem for years), but it is the same. Does anyone know what might be wrong and if it is fixable? Thanks
B3 drastic volume drop, help!
Hi Spiratonic,
AFAIK there are no public schematics of it, and the internals are "dead bug" hand wired. If you could take detailed pictures of the inside and post them there's a small chance someone here could help. But I think you'll end up sending it back to the manufacturer to have them fix it.
Thanks Dewster, I'll do that. I did do a modification and added a power socket to it as the power cable frayed out (bad design), so I reckon the manufacturers probably won't be interested in it.
Have fixed the problem now - a wire had come ff the volume antenna, that's all
Congrats Spiratonic! I had a co-worker who said "it's always something stupid."
Could you still maybe take a photo or two of the inside and post it here? I'm curious as to what the guts look like. IIRC I ran across a pic a long time ago but didn't think to snag it.
Thanks so much for those Spiratonic!I hope you don't mind, I stuck them in a photo album here at TW: [LINK]
No problem man!
