Moog Etherwave very quiet headphones

Hi!

I tried just headphones - no amplifier - over the weekend and I got a very very quiet signal- recognizable, just not loud, in one ear of stereo headphones.

Is this normal? Do EWs need a headphone amplifier?  Or does mine need an adjustment?

It needs a mono adapter, multiple applications.

daniel, in your profile, i see you have the plus board. did you connect it correctly? is the j6-jumper set as you like?
i took a picture of my ew+, and to clarify the cably-mess a bit : j7 is phones, j8 is audio(line), j6 is for the pre/post amp listening on the phones. (i made a little switch instead the original jumper for that option, that‘s why it‘s occupied on the foto. the switch is where the pilot-led was. the led is now on the backside, where the big capacitors are and glows through a hole in the backside.
phones-out should be stereo and adjustable with the knob.

yup, then you need to route it’s signal through anything amplifying with a headphones out to get a hearable signal for a late night solo-session.
