My first try to upload something to Youtube (audio with poster / still image). Three gigs cancelled due to the COVID-19 crisis regulations
Quarantine session looper improvisation composition.
Thanks Dewster, I used ffmpeg (commandline media tool) to combine audio and a still image into an mp4 video file to upload to YT.
The commandline for that is:
ffmpeg -loop 1 -i image.jpg -i audio.wav -c:v libx264 -c:a aac -strict experimental -b:a 192k -shortest output.mp4
Thank you JPascal, I'll be checking and postprocessing & (re)mixing/mastering what I've been recording on my Loop Station lately and I'm planning to start using photos of my own drawings and paintings as the still image for new pieces to come. I've found a recommendation from youtube to use a bitrate of 384 kbps for the AAC encoded audio within an mp4 file, so I will try that for the next one.
Uploaded a new one in which I used the recommended audio bitrate settings. This one was made in the days after the WHO declared Covid-19 to be a pandemic, with theremin, voice, bowed singing bowls, tingshas and a small Chinese cymbal and a self made two-stringed electric (piezo element taken out of a 'musical postcard') cigar-box fiddle.
A bluesy reggae dub track, drumming/percussion, bass guitar, bluesharp, selfmade bamboo flute, voice and theremin:
