Hello.

In the "First Man" movie, we can hear theremin with a very unique sound.
Does anyone know what effect could have been used by Justin Hurwitz or what the manufacturer of this instrument is?

Many Termen models can sound like this. The recording was done with the effects of hall and reverb.

I think there is something more than just a reverb and hall effects...
Can you give an example of similar theremin sound (for example YouTube video)?

I can't hear anything particularly special in the theremin sound and/or the effects applied to it. I'm guessing the instrument used is a Moog Etherwave Pro.

Each thereminist adjusts his instrument to his own liking. My ETW PLUS might sound almost the same as in this recording. It can also be ETW PRO. The fact that everyone, even a serial theremin is a little different sounding from the other, of the same title.

Please find here a picture: The composer Justin Hurwitz is playing the theremin himself.

Good find JPascal, so it turns out to be a regular Etherwave Std or Plus.

My assumptions, made solely by ear, were fully justified. Hurray!
