Using a grounded amp solved the problem! I will get a more appropriate power supply when I can find one. Thanks for the help, all.

The reason seems to have been identified. Your current adapter does not fit. You need a transformer power supply (power adapter) with an output of at least 14 volts.
(although 12 volts may be enough. But this is just an assumption)

I have been planning for a long time (but have not yet succeeded) to try to power the theremin from a good switching power supply. From the adapter to the Shure radio microphone (12 volts). To check if the statement that switching power supplies for theremins is absolutely unacceptable? Or high-quality adapters will not give high-frequency interference?

(I don't think I've gone too far off topic.)

Yay!  Good grounding is absolutely essential to proper Theremin operation.
