Hi everyone,

I am a total music and sound newbee but collect instruments. Cant play any but hey ho.

My wife just bought me a "Tongue Drum" and what an amazing sound, But me being me, who knows nothing about sound production, I bought a few Stylaphones to try and get some electronic back ground to the sound can it can be enhanced a little bit. OMG then I thought I would try to make a Theremin with a Raspberry Pi. That didn't work, so after a glass or two of wine, I committed to a Theremini.

Wow the sound is amazing and I love the presets. Amazing bit of kit for a beginner (who has no idea. The neighbors now think I'm a mime artist practicing)

Question- What would be the best way to connect a Stylaphone Gen-x, Staylaphone beats and the Theremini to a laptop? It only has USB and mic in.

All in all happy days. Excellent bit of creative fun.

You need a mixer. At least the simplest one. For 4 inputs, for example. Well, and wires, audio cables with plugs that fit the sockets.

Thank you Martel,

I have a basic compact studio audio mixer, 4 channels DC 5 volt and a bunch of cables, Being a non connected to all things instrument sort of person, I was a little bit worried about trying to use it, but I will give it a go in the morning.

Many thanks for the advice,

Zankie.

Check out theremin mode for calibration.  It is a lot more reliable.  Theremini hooked me but you will probably want to upgrade eventually.  Theremins are magical and with a bit of time you find they help improve all your musical efforts.  Your connection to the sound makes your ear hear better, if that makes sense.  I feel I play better on all my other instruments since playing theremin.
Good luck.
Have fun..
Also check out theremini sound editing program from Moog..
Thanks

I traded mine back towards an etherwave plus.  I love my etherwaveplus but do kind of miss the theremini.  If I could get one cheap I would love picking one up.  Very fun for quick demo of theremin and travels easily.
Hope you enjoy yours.
Thanks
