Printing the AFE coil boxes in transparent green this time.  Seems to let more light through than transparent blue.  Most folks won't see these when mounted inside a case, but it's fun anyway.

Looks really cool.

My Baby Sparkle And Shine

There was a request for a black printed D-Lev kit:

The textured PEI mat makes gray PETG fairly sparkly, but it really goes crazy with the black!  Down in front is an I/O panel.

I believe all subsequent requests will be for the black version.  Stock up on plastic!

That might actually be a good thing as the light gray often gets discolorations in the face.  The best would be a darker gray IMO.

I don't think paint sticks very well to PETG, it's kinda like nylon.  I use a plastic primer on the logo plates, but the area is recessed and so doesn't get a lot of action.

Thanks!  The textured powder coat PEI build surface Roger sent me a long time ago provides 90% of the appeal.  I recently bought another and the texture is nowhere near as deep and interesting looking.

Yes, for the control panel and tuner, as well as the AFE / coil boxes and their mounts.  And a logo plate.  It's a lot of printing!

D-Lev Filtering Spreadsheet

Been working on a spreadsheet simulation of the bass & treble, formant bank, and inharmonic resonator, and it seems ready for prime time:

Here's what the "cello_8" preset filter response looks like:

This is the resonator in parallel with 8 formants, plus some treble boost.  Things can get really complicated when phase is involved, hence the need for a spreadsheet.  It also has a page to help set the filter volume and pitch hand modulations, which can be complicated too.
