PAiA electronics, maker of the Theremax theremin kit, will be selling a new 2-note ribbon controller kit starting this September. For now, they have a website showing how to build your own from scratch.
The controller generates CV signals and lets the player easily set the "low" and "high" points for the pitch surface to generate.
